This form only assists with generating a file name for a syllabus, it does not send or submit the file. Undergraduate syllabi and graduate syllabi are displayed using a very specific file naming convention. Failure to follow instructions below could result in the syllabus not showing up at all or prevent search and filter feature functionality.

Course title*

Enter exactly as the course title is to appear (include spaces, commas, hyphens, etc). Do not use abbreviations, all caps or run-together text and please check for spelling errors.

Section number(s)*

If there are multiple sections, separate with hyphens (e.g. 2221-2021-3005). For all sections, type “All” as the section number. No spaces or commas.

Instructor name*

This should be exactly as the instructor name is to appear. Include commas and spaces but no period after initials.

Double-check that you did not use all caps or abbreviations in the course title before clicking Generate.
